We're best known for our marquetry canvases — layered hardwood images cut with dual CO2 lasers — but we also make sculpture, tableware, and other functional pieces from the same studio. Jack Danger is a Montana-bred, BFA-trained studio artist who translates fine art sensibilities into high-heat precision. He utilizes dual CO2 lasers to forge a bold collection of fine-art wood-inlay marquetry canvases and homeware sculptures.
As a trans man carving a unique path in the maker world, Jack builds every piece to bring something sharp, intentional, and cutting-edge to modern interiors.

Stories are her bread and butter – what she lives and breathes – and she ensures that we capture exactly what makes our client’s submissions so special to them in their finished artworks.
Marquetry — An Ancient Practice
Marquetry — the ancient art practice of creating pictures, patterns, or designs by inlaying thin pieces of wood veneer onto a wooden surface.
Historically, this was achieved by ébénistes – highly skilled artisans trained to cut intricate designs into wood, bone, or even tortoiseshell with hand saws and other highly specialized tools.
This art form used to take untold amounts of labor and skill to achieve, and was often sought after by royalty. Modern laser technology lets us render marquetry at a scale — and a price — that was impossible even a decade ago.

Six tonally different hardwoods — cherry, walnut, sapele, maple, aromatic cedar, and Baltic birch — sourced from an FSC-certified supplier committed to responsibly managed forests. Precisely laser-cut and inlaid by hand onto a solid wood substrate.
Every hardwood we use comes from an FSC-certified supplier. Forest Stewardship Council certification means the wood is traceable back to a responsibly managed forest — third-party audited, sustainably harvested, and grown with the long game in mind. For a craft that lives and dies by its material, we think that sustainability matters as much as the piece itself.

We run dual CO2 lasers out of our Seattle studio. Each piece of wood in one of our marquetry designs is individually cut or engraved with our lasers using vector or raster files.
